Tomoya Okazaki is in the 3rd grade of a high-ranked high school and spending days with lacking in energy. Every day is repetition of the same thing.
He cannot enjoy the school life like everybody else, and is late for school every day.
Because of that, he becomes kind of isolated in the school.
One day at the bottom of the slope which leads to the school, Tomoya happens to meet a girl.
